India’s team was announced by BCCI on Saturday. India’s team was announced for the T20 team starting against England in which Surya Kumar Yadav has been made the captain. The first T20 match of the series will be played in Kolkata on Wednesday, January 22 and the last match of the series will be played in Mumbai on Sunday, February 2.
India has announced its 15-day team for the T20 match series against England in which Suryakumar Yadav has been made the captain and Sanju Samson has been taken as the wicketkeeper. India’s all-rounder Akshar Patel has been made the vice-captain in the series. Dhruv Jurel has been taken as the wicketkeeper in Team India in place of Rishabh Pant. For the first time in the series after injury, Mohammed Shami is returning as the main fast bowler for India. Jasprit Bumrah has been rested from the T20 series. Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was included as an all-rounder in the Border Gavaskar Test series, has been included in the T20 squad due to his good performance in Test matches. Harshit Rana has also been selected for the fast bowling attack. Four main batsmen have been selected in the 15-member Indian team. Two wicketkeepers have been selected, two fast bowling all-rounders have been selected in the form of Hardik Pandya and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Axar Patel, Varun Chakraborty, Ravi Bishnoi and Washington Sundar have been selected as spinners. Three bowlers have been given a chance in the form of Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana for the main fast bowling attack.
Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson have been selected as opening batsmen from India in the T20 series. Surya Kumar Yadav will come for the one down position and Tilak Verma for the second don, after that Rinku Yadav Hardik Pandya will take charge of the batting. Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and Nitish Kumar Reddy can be selected in the team as bowling all-rounders. Mohammed Shami will lead the team as the main bowler along with Arshdeep Singh. Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar can be selected for opening bowling. Hardik Pandya will contribute in bowling and batting.
