A century partnership was made between Ryan Rickelton and Temba Bavuma
Pakistan team’s performance in the morning session was quite disappointing. After taking three wickets in quick succession, Pakistan team allowed South Africa to make a long partnership. From South Africa’s side, Aiden Markram, Wiaan Mulder and Triston Stubbs got out early due to wrong shots on the support and fast outfield. Pakistan’s bowling was weakened as Naseem Shah was ruled out of the Test match due to back pain. Naseem Shah was replaced by Mohammad Abbas who did not have much success. Mohammad Abbas had taken 6 wickets in the previous Test match and had success with the new ball but could not prove to be very effective in the second Test match.
